Liebster Award

Erin from You AUT-a Know has nominated me for the Liebster Award. Thanks so much Erin!

1. Why and how long ago did you start blogging?
I started blogging several years ago when I was working on Creative Teams for scrapbooking and designing digital scrapbook kits. I switched from selling digital scrapbooking kits to selling teacher products on Teachers Pay Teachers. I switched to my teacher blog in September 2013 when I started selling at TPT.

2. What one word sums up the heart of your blog and why?
Easy. I like things to be easy whether it's an activity for the classroom or a system for organizing. We have a lot on our plates. If the post is long and detailed, I usually move on. If the post is easy to read and short, I'll read it. Ideas for the classroom need to be easy as well with everything we are required to do and teach.

3. Is there something you learned late in your blogging journey you wished you knew before?
I've certainly learned things along the way. I don't think there is one thing I wish I already knew.

4. What is your favorite past time other than blogging?
I have several things I like to do in my spare time: quilting, reading, geocaching, hiking, scrapbooking, baking, and sewing. It is definitely hard to fit everything in to my schedule!

5. How many hours per week do you dedicate to your blog?
Not enough! I hope to improve with the new year. I would like to blog more than 1-2 times per month which is about where I am at. I just need to make the time. :)

6. What category of blog posts do you enjoy the most?
Quick and easy ideas to incorporate into the classroom. We teach, blog, sell on TPT, have families, etc. Teachers need quick and easy ideas to help them organize or to spice up their next lesson.

7. Where does your blog inspiration come from?
Most of my inspiration comes from my own classroom. I'm also inspired by things I find on Pinterest that I can incorporate into my room.

8. Which post that you've written are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my Classroom Tips for a Small Space post. I'm able to offer tips for those teachers who are crammed into a little room but have a lot of stuff.

9. Is there any post you have been planning to do, but have postponing it for a while now?
Not really. I don't keep a list of ideas (I probably should though!). I just blog when something comes to mind and I have the time.

10. What is your favorite aspect of blogging?
Being able to connect with other teachers outside of your school is exciting. It is great to share ideas and learn from others.

11. Which recipe, project, or idea on my blog would you be most likely to try yourself?
I love You AUT-a Know's goal folder idea! As a special educator I need to be organized with my student's goals. The folders are a great idea for keeping track.
