I saw a notice on Office Max/Office Depot's website about Adopt A Classroom and I signed up. I put in my class information but never put a project in. I just hadn't gotten that far. Well, a couple of weeks ago I received an email from Adopt A Classroom. Office Depot was giving me $100 for classroom supplies. Woohoo!! I was so excited and immediately started shopping on their site for goodies that we could use.
I was able to get
*hand pencil sharpeners
*post it notes
*tab dividers
*calculators
*tickets
*erasers
*paddle dry erase boards (plain & graph) with white board markers

I also signed up for Reddit's Teacher Exchange this year. Last year I received some fabulous math games. Here's what I received this year!
This donor outdid himself!! I cannot believe all of the things they sent.
I received
*erasers
*pencils
*calculators
*white board markers
*math dice game
*hand pencil sharpener
*bag of dice
My kids couldn't believe that strangers and businesses would send us such great stuff. They loved the variety of colors in the white board markers. They can't wait to use the paddle white boards. Their favorite thing though was the bag of dice. They are just amazed that dice some in different shapes with numbers more than 20.
I am very blessed with the donations and am certainly putting them to good use!
It looks like Christmas:).
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool!
I told the kids it was Christmas. :)
DeleteHow wonderful for you and your students. Is your class able to write thank you letters or cards back or is everything anonymous?
ReplyDeleteSpecial Teaching at Pempi's Palace
Everything is anonymous, but they were very thankful. :)
